Faculty-Led Programs Abroad

Faculty-led programs must be approved by the department and the Office of the Dean.

Resources for CLAHS faculty leading a program abroad can be found on Education Abroad’s Faculty Planning Resources.  This page includes:

  • The Faculty Resource Guide [can you create a link directly to this?  I can’t] with important information regarding a number of issues.  Faculty as well as chairs and directors need to note in particular the Accounting and Payment Procedures, pp. 19-22.
  • Funding and Mini-grants
  • A link to StudioAbroad to manage the application process and student data
  • Student Scholarships
  • Required Forms faculty as well as students
  • Emergency Response

Among the required documents for faculty is the Administrative Checklist for compliance with Policy 225.  There is a special form for CLAHS faculty; the CLAHS Administrative Checklist is here.

Faculty are encouraged to take advantage of training offered by Education Abroad and to consult with Education Abroad as they develop and administer their programs.
